A woman is dying and another version of herself comes from the dark sky to pick up her soul and eventually drive her to hell. Shot as a technical experiment entirely as a virtual production using unreal content as backgrounds. A very collaborative project where the spoken poem was written by the dancer Kibrea Carmichael after having seen the film's first edit. The music/sound was created as a reaction to the dance... so it's not that she is dancing to what we hear but her dance was edited and later we created a sound design fitting to her movements.

words from the filmmaker

I think I’m always trying to generate an emotional reaction. I create for an imaginative audience... and ultimately on a psychological level try to surprise and challenge them. I felt rewarded when I took a risk and went out of my comfort zone, tried an unusual approach, went against expectations... and when this in the end works out for everyone involved. It’s and accomplishment.

why we love this film

Stunning. Explosive. Empowering. An original hybrid between dance cinema and action/thriller filmmaking, with a fierce performance and electrifying cinematography
